4. After completing steps 1-3 and you still are not getting your ink cartridge to work, the next possible cause would be to assume the printer ink cartridge or canon print head is burnt up. This can happen on certain printer ink cartridges that has the print head built onto the ink storage tank. If this is the case there is no way to fix the ink cartridge. And it must be replaced with a new canon BCI-24 printer ink cartridge.
