Why does my PC slow down when I start
working on images?
The processor speed and RAM inside your PC are the determining
factors in the performance of your photocake setup. For large
images you need to have higher RAM, 256 MB RAM will do fine. For
higher the resolution images more RAM is required as the image
file size is also large. For instance, an 8.5" x 11" color
photograph scanned at 72 dpi takes up about 1.5MB just by doubling
resolution to 150 dpi will increase the file size almost four
times - to approximately 6.3 MB. And so a 300 dpi image file would
be 25 MB. NOTE : Our recommendation is not to go
any higher than 300 dpi unless you specifically require the
resolution.
Why does my printer print off the frosting
sheet?
In case an over print occurs then the problem is postioning the
image and also the size of the photograph. For directions on how
to properly size and position scanned images, refer to the photo
editing software included in your PC.
How to manage maximum prints per
cartridge?
The only way to maximize the prints per cartridge is to opt for a
comfortable dpi setting for the print. 300 dpi will deliver good
prints normally. But you need to test before opting for this
setting. Always select the "plain paper" setting. Please call or
email us if you have questions.
