Refilling Tips Compatible CANON Printers :
S300, xnu i320 ...contd
Important notes to remember about
refilling your printer ink cartridge
-
Since most all ink cartridges either have a sponge
or tank to store ink, it is important to refill your ink cartridge
either before it runs out of ink or as soon as possible after it
begins to streak or the printer gives you a LOW ink alarm. Inks
are designed to dry quickly to prevent bleeding or smearing on
your printouts. Since this ink dries so quickly if you run out of
ink and do not refill as soon as possible the ink in the print
head will dry and clog the print head holes with are smaller than
the diameter of a human hair and there may be as many as 100 holes
on each print head any of which can become clogged up causing poor
print quality.
-
If you do not have an ink refilling kit handy when
you first run out of ink, place your empty printer ink cartridge
back in the original print head cap and place the ink cartridge
into a plastic zip lock bag. Remove as much of the air in the bag
as possible and seal the bag.
-
When completing steps 1-3 above it is important to
follow the directions exactly as soon to ensure original print
quality on your printed documents. Each printer ink cartridge
refills with different techniques and each printer ink cartridge
uses different ink formulas and color pigments. You should not
cross-refill any cartridges. The inks contained in your refill
kit are specifically manufactured to be used with the printer
models and cartridges listed on the instructions included in our
refill kit.
-
Since you are dealing with ink it is important to
be careful and take your time when refilling your printer ink
cartridges. You may have a drip from time to time when learning
how to refill your ink cartridge, so be prepared. Use a clean work
area, like a kitchen sink, and place news papers or paper towels
on your work surface while refilling your printer ink cartridge.
If you happen to get any ink on the carpet, Resolve carpet cleaner
will usually help remove the ink. Finger nail polish remover
(containing Acetone) will remove the ink from other hard surfaces
such as tile or countertops. Do a spot test on the surface before
using either product to ensure it will not cause damage. The best
method is prevention.
